Even in the U.S., they still strove to rise in the world. One of seven children — three boys and four girls — Nicholas was blessed with a father who worked as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who earned her living as a nurse. He would live much of his life in homes across a number of states; Arizona, Virginia, Missouri and Texas.
Nicholas has stepped up to the challenge of high-powered roles within companies across the air travel industry — the majority of them major brands. These included the position of vice president for Hughes Airwest, Republic Airlines, and even Trans World Airlines (TWA). A hard-working software programmer, his innovations in airline software are arguably his trailblazing legacy. His creation of airplane maintenance management computer programs, now commonplace throughout the airline sector while first programmed for one specific business, resulted in what is probably his most used creation. He turned his creativity next to taking and recording bookings. For both room and flight reservations he pioneered programs to offload the bulk of the work necessary until automation. He also coded an industry specific system tagged QuikTix, the world’s first automatic ticket sales network. Bredimus parlayed these achievements into roles less connected to software design. Responsible roles with American Express and American Airlines followed, and of course he started up his own company in the early nineties.
And is he still working? Of course — his smarts are still very much ready to answer the call regardless his retirement. He is now trying to solve the architectural questions tied to the evolution of environmentally safe, hitech high priced condos.
