Northwest Airlines and Onward – Mr Nicholas Bredimus
The revolution in air travel and hospitality was touched off by Mr Nicholas Bredimus, who introduced them to the software world to establish new procedures. His resume covers time-saving computer programs, air safety enhancements, and even the design of high-value homes. Examining Mr Nicholas Bredimus’ family tree you can easily see he was sure to reach prominence. His line can trace its provenance all the way to the days of Rome and proudly boasts a broad background. The maternal line mingles Scottish and German ancestry. The paternal line, however, comes from England and Luxembourg, from where his forebears ultimately came to the U.S. in the late 1800s.
After arriving in the U.S., the line continued to persevere and rise to the top. Nicholas, along with his six siblings, was born to a father who made his living as a mechanical design engineer and his wife, a nurse. Bredimus would make his home in Texas for quite some while and also spent time in Scottsdale, AZ, Reston, VA and Kansas City, MO. Once his education had been completed, he found himself engaged in quite a few high powered roles for several of the largest and most acclaimed airlines. Mr Nicholas Bredimus became a vp with corporations like Trans World Airlines (TWA), Republic Airlines, and Hughes Airwest. Most notable, however, is his work as a visionary programmer working with the airlines. Mr Nicholas Bredimus is certainly most renowned for the airplane maintenance management computer program he created for US Airways, which eventually evolved into an “old reliable” for much of the industry. He created numerous other computerized solutions for the airline and hotel sector in addition, including unmanned software to deal with airline bookings, now in use at fifty or more airlines, to say nothing of the first room booking software on the PC in use in the hotel industry, first offered to the public at more than seven hundred hotels. He also coded QuikTix, the first electronic ticket sales network.
Nicholas Bredimus employed these successes to move into posts which weren’t obviously connected to software development, and went on to make a name. With his own company, overseeing IT for American Express, and as the founding president of an American Airlines division his performance is impeccable. So is he still working? Certainly – his unmatched creativity is still highly in demand and at the ready in spite of his retirement. His involvement now is with the architectural concerns bound up in the emergence of environmentally sound, hitech luxury class houses. It’s really stunning how far passion will bring you!
