Urban Legend # 4: I will lose sensation in my face!
Untrue. BoTox affects the junction between the nerve and the facial muscle, and not on sensate nerves. BoTox just affects the ability to relax muscular tissues.
Urban Legend # 5. You need to keep getting BoTox otherwise you will have even worse wrinkles than earlier!
This is also false.
You can expect the first treatment to last for upwards of 3 months. Any treatments after the first visit should last a little longer. The lines will gradually reappear as the muscle returns to normal. Even So they will not be any worse than before the treatment started.
Even if you do not have BoTox ever again – those lines should be less pronounced than if you hadn’t undergone the treatment. This is primarily due to the fact your skin has had a ‘wrinkle holiday’ for a few months.
