The brain is easily fatigued when the body is tired. Be sure you get adequate rest. You can not think properly when sleep deprived. * Take breaks away from the poker table or computer. The intense concentration that poker requires is fatiguing itself. Try to take a quick break every two hours or so. Get up, walk around, gaze into the distance instead of close-up. If you can step outside for fresh air, do so. The brain thrives on oxygen, so feed it. * Make sure your body is nourished. Don’t begin your game hungry. Instead, have a good nourishing meal beforehand, and carry some healthy snacks, like whole grain fruit bars, grapes or dark chocolates to give you extra energy. * Learn and use some concentration techniques to keep your mind focused on the cards. Practice short-term memory exercises, and learn to get better at remembering names and faces. These skills will help you at the poker table as well as other aspects of your life.
